For king & country.

Is not usually, for us, play WWI cavalry battles, and of course, not in the western front.
Our last game, was a battle in Belgium, where the germans, must defend a town, and the british, covered by an snow storm must flank the town with cavalry, and attack the germans to the rear.
This was the plan.
The german forces were five platoons with two heavy MGs, and they must defend the town. The british were two cavalry squads, two armoured cars, and a 18 pdr gun.
The cars covered by the snow, and covering the gun marching by the road, and the cavalry squads, each one to the left and to the right, to flank the germans.
The cars were too slow, and the cavalry passed the cars in second turn.
The right squad were stopped by the german MGs fire, but the left squad charged to a german platoon. The platoon were destroy, but the cavalry must retreat.
The rest of the battle were the british cavalry trying to move, the armoured cars firing but do it nothing, and the gun suffered a lot of german fire, and after one turn they retreat after fire one tiem.

The battlefield.

British advance.

German forces defending the town.

German view.

Last british charge.

I think is a very funny scenary, but small, if you want a flank move by the cavalry, also, in our game, the germans were lucky, because the MGs places were right to stop the right cavalry squads. In twelve turns, I think, right squads fired, I don´t know, but, may be one or two times!!!!
